A foreign body measuring ~1.5 cm long can be seen tracking transversely across the entire pulp. Due to its depth and length, this splinter would not be amenable to ED removal. The patient was referred to orthopedics for potential removal by hand surgery. The foreign body was organic matter, so the patient was placed on antibiotics.
